Loving You Is A Dream

Happy Saturday. "Loving you is a dream" was made for a very special friend who is rehabilitating from surgery. Before they went in they requested a card with a colored image and a stickpin.

The stickpin was made using some glass beads and a resin butterfly. I adhered some paper in the back of the butterfly.

I used My Minds Eye paper to do the accents for the title, top note, and rectangle behind the Greeting Farm image. I have a really old (2004) Making Memories kit that I used to spell-out the title. The burgundy cardstock used is by Coordinations and the paper with the poke-a-dot is by Prima. I ran the paper through my Big Shot the embossed look with a Stampin Up embossing folder.

Greeting Farm - Anya

I used my Shinhan markers to color the Greeting Farm image, called Anya. I intentionally have her hair tips much darker than the rest of her hair. She is getting old and fragile.

I used Glossy Accent to highlight the flowers in her head. I used Stickles to glitter her dress belt. The dress was accented with rhinestones, but she lost one. :-(.

Note: Anya's face is discolored. I did not do this on-purpose. Once you have colored an image and it dries, it is difficult to go back to that same area and add more color. I attempted to do this and the images face came out like mines in 2nd grade. Oh well.

Trim and Beads were purchased at my local craft store. Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend.

Hugs,

Kiki

Storage Idea for Pens

Hey everyone, ever tried to find a new storage idea.
You know, one that looks expensive but without the costly price. I love my new storage idea for pens, highlighters, and my Pink Paislee Pixie Stix. Best of all, these are cheap and easy to find at Walmart.

Hint: Look in the kitchen isle, between the salt and pepper shakers.

Sugar pourers. You know the ones you see at really cool diners. I simply removed the top and threw my items inside. This containers make for a clean crisp look on my glass shelf. Why? Because this storage idea is transparent and does not disturb ones eyes. As you can see, mines is situated between a mini album and my Zutter Binder.

 Luv it.

A True Story Of Wonderful Bliss (Layout 11 of 12)

7 Gypsies Photo Display Stand

There are so many different name brands jammed into this layout. Who would know where to begin. However I am really excited because this is the second to last layout of this journey. After this, I will start adding pictures. Hurray!

The flowers in the layout are by Prima. The library cards are by Colorbok. The bird on the library card in Girl Paperie.

The vine around the layout I purchased at BenFranklin [who is going out of business :( ]. I inked around the Colorbok library card with my Tim Holtz - Mustard Seed in pad. I like the dirty look. The paper clip is from Stampin Up

I did a rough clear embossing to the dress form, which is by Girl Paperie. I added Tim Holtz - Findings Wings to the back of the dress form using foam double sided tape. The typewriter came from a stamp I purchased at Michael's.

The "True Story" came from a back by KComapany. The button next to the word "of" is from a 2003 EK Success collection. There is a little bunny sticking out from behind the 2 paper flowers. The tine flower I made (fun and tedious) using a Tim Holtz tutorial technique. I also used Tim Holtz Clear Fragment accent to highlight "True". The clear accent was painted with Ranger Dopper- Copper paint. I don't remember where the metal "A" is from, but I have a strong feeling that it's from Making Memories.  The metal flower was purchased from the Hobby Lobby - Spare Parts collection.

I used the DCWV - Tattered Time paper collection to make the ruler. The green blue trim is from American Crafts - Dear Lizzy Collection. The flat back pearls were purchased at JoAnn and the butterfly was purchased on Ebay.

The bird is by Girl Paperie and is on a coin envelope that been stamped and embossed with Tim Holz - Attic Treasures (clear) and Warehouse District (black). The word "BLISS" is from the Tim Holz -Adage Tickets and the hinge clips Tim Holtz Ideology collection. The green word "WONDERFUL" is by KCompany. I used my Dymo label maker to type the black "WONDERFUL" label.

Thank you for embarking on this journey with me. I am finally done. The back will just be simple with my card information. I hope this inspired more people to make and show their 7 Gypsies Photo Display Stand.

P.S. The background paper used in all the layouts is by Die Cuts With a View (DCWV) - Cotton Bloom Stack

Because... (Layout 10 of 12)

Sometimes "Because" is all you have to say. The "because(s)" in our lives and make us cry, laugh, smile and inspire us to be better. I was inspired to use burlap and paper doilies for this layout. The accent flowers are Prima.

I made the stickpin, is it not beautiful?

The "Because" is by Prima and is accented by a glass heart.

Thanks, Kiki

Remember Love (Layout 9 of 12)

Remember Love comes after receiving my Websters Pages Sprinkles box. I was so inspired by the pretty paper that I wanted to used the concept of the kit in a neat way.

The owl is by Metal Art and is attached to a Pink Paislee - Spring Jubilee line.

The love stick pin is by the Girl Paperie collection.

The bird is from the Prima resin accent and the small orange flower is by Making Memories. Most of the flowers on the layout are by Michael's Recollections.

The Webster's Pages Sprinkles paper is held together by Tim Holtz binder clip. THe cover is accented with American Craft ribbon. The blue topnote is by Colorbok. The "remember" is by Making Memories and the accents flower is by Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts. The swirl is Michael's Recollections. The 3 butterflies have been accented with Glossy Accents.

The die cut in the background is by Webster's Pages and the tag in front is by Colorbok - Antique Paperie collection.

The binder clip currently has 3 pages attached; however, you can add more as needed.

Thank you so much.

Beauty is Everywhere to Love

Hello everyone. I was informed that I would be receiving the Webster Pages Warehouse sale box as a gift. I wanted to make sure that I used some of the items from the last warehouse sale, before the new box arrived. Hehe. So here it is, "Beauty is Everywhere to Love" is a quick and easy layout. The rulered paper is by My Minds Eye - Lost & Found Two Collections (Breeze "Everywhere" Mirrors Paper. That was a lot to write. I then used Webster Pages vellum a paper called "Your Life. Beautiful (item number US1827D) - Country Estate" to provide a smaller frame (notice I could not help tearing the velum).

I used some Colobook design accents for the yellow coupon, achievement card, and vellum envelope. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The blue netting and red & white ribbon are from Webster Pages. The stick pin is by TiTi Designs (find her on YouTube as Missrafaelas). The lace is from Puerto Rico

I used a Recollections corner accent piece, Prima - Say it in Pearls, and My Minds Eye title.

The red-orange paper is by DCWV - Cafe Mediterranean and is accented by a retired Recollections felt iron work.

The green paper is by My Minds Eye - Home Collection.

The word "Love" in black is from a old collection of EK Success stickers I had purchased in 2004.

Hope you like.

Winsome: Survivor of Life

Winsome is a canvas layout about the most important woman in my life (mij moeder). I painted the canvas with Folk Art Metallic Paint - Peridot. I then whipped the excess paint off with a paper towel. This gave the background a kaki jean look. I placed 4 doilies on the canvas surface and sprayed the canvas with my Smootch Spritz - Black Velvet. Following this step I used my Martha Stewart - Glitter Finish to create a light bling look to the entire canvas surface.

The words were highlighted with Tim Holtz - Worn Lipstick and I embossed with Ultra Embossing - Bronze. The letters are from the Recollections collection. The white collage sheet in the background is from Pink Paislee - London Market (Rare Finds and Curiosities).

\

The purple paper is from the Recollections 12x12 - Habitat collection. I tore the paper to 6.0 x 5.00 inches and I nicked the edges (front and back) with Tim Holtz - Antique Linen and Mustard seed.  The pink die cut circle is by Webster Pages. The 3 accent bling by Recollection.

The tear drop bead are from .... it's a secret. I'm not telling. The flowers are from "I am Roses." The leaves and cream trim are from Recollections. By the way, Recollection products can be purchased at Michael's Craft Store.

The Key is also from Michaels and was found in the $1.50 bin. The pom poms are from the Webster Pages - Petite Roses (Trendsetter).

I then used wheat and pearl sprays to frame the left side of the canvas and draw your eyes up to the tittle. "Survivor of Life" was made using my Dymo caption maker. The Dymo retails for $19.99; however, can be purchased a Micheal's, Walmart, Joann, your local craft store, and online.
P.S. Check Scrapbooking -Warehouse. Hehe.

Enjoy and thanks for peaking.

Time of You & Me

Just a quick and easy layout for my anticipated reunion with my parents. Hurray! I used My Minds Eye paper for the entire layout. Amazing for me.

The green torn paper is My Minds Eye - Lost & Found and the rest is My Minds Eye - Miss Caroline paper collection. The Chipboard banner is byMy Minds Eye - Follow Your Heart collection. The word "Time" is by EK Success. The metal bee accent was purchased on Ebay from China. The gray pearl and rhinestone accent is by Prima. I then used copper Stickles to accent empty areas.

I used my Dymo Label maker to spell "August, 2012 and of." The mushrooms are by the Shabby Chic Treasures by Prima. I used my Martha Stewart Monarch punch to cut the butterflies. The "cherish every moment transparency is from Making Memories. The "Flight and Air Mail" accent is from Girl Paperie Collection.

The "You & Me" title is from the Miss Caroline collection.

I accented the picture and note mat with a white doily.

A Tim Holtz clip was placed on the cardboard mat to hold the paper where notes will go about the reunion. The card board mat was accented with antique white and gold metallic Folk Art Paint. Bakers Twin in Blue was added to accent future pictures and ran through a ribbon holder in silver.

There is a secret tag for notes from Pink Paisley that slides in and out from behind the chipboard. I added a Petaloo - White Magnolia and Berries branch and added further accents with Prima - Northcountry  and Alla-Prima Roses.

Thanks for peaking and I am happy to share with you.

Story: Pappy and Me

This beautiful frames was made just in time for fathers day with the best daddy in the world in mind. The frame was purchased from Tuesday Morning. I painted the frame with Folk Art Metallic Paint in Green and Copper. I then sprinkled some Lindsey Stamp Gang powder and smooth spritz all over the frame. I then used the DCVW Tattered time paper to accent the frame and make such look old.

The blue wheat and pearl sprays  draw you eye up to the measuring tape. Meanwhile, the flowers accent the crown and paper dominos.

The word "Pappy" was made using letters from the Girl Paperie Kit. The "story" and metal frame comes from Tim Holtz. The "and me" was made using my Dymo label maker.

The bird, hidden in the right corner between the flowers, is also from the Tim Holtz alterations collection.

The bling pearl and crystal accent is from the Prima line.

Hope you enjoy. Please feel free to comment or ask questions.

Best, Kiki
